Ministry Effectiveness Report 2011

"But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him?  And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him?  And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?"  Romans 10:14

As we close out 2011 and reflect on our ministry and evaluate our effectiveness as a ministry, I am overwhelmed by what God has done at the prison and through our outreach efforts.  I would like to take a few moments of your time to share with you some numbers so we can see what we have done together.

From the beginning, QE wanted to be a ministry that went where hurting people are AND WE HAVE DONE THAT!

Through our outreach efforts, we have gone to the prison, to transitional housing facilities, and out into the community, meeting needs and sharing Christ.

Prison:  In Winter of 2011 we began our monthly rotations at Perryville Women’s Prison.

· Our schedule took us out there 3-5 times a month

· This year, we led over 50 chapels in 6 yards with over 2100 women in attendance

· Our services showed steady attendance growth on every yard, some doubling, and others tripling in numbers.

· Our team has prayed 1-1 with over 180 inmates, and seen many answered prayers. As a result, God has grown all our faith through answers to our prayers…parole has been miraculously granted to Christian gals asking for God’s favor, injuries healed, marriages restored, relationships with children have been reconciled, protection against other inmates has prevailed, and people are becoming more and more the kind of people God wants them to be inside those walls.

· The most profound statistic is that we have seen 54 ladies make first time decision for Christ- 12 in the last 3 months of 2011.

Community Outreach Efforts:

· This Summer we began meeting with friends who had a heart for the people of El Mirage and in the Fall of 2011, we hosted an outreach event at Gateway Park.  QE supplied the sound system, music and food during the event.  We partnered with Discipleship Ministry International, Inc., Teen Challenge, YoungLife, Phoenix Rescue Mission, and Love Link Lord.  We fed over 250 people and met many people from the community.  This ministry is mostly about just loving people and meeting their needs.  We will continue to be a part of this in 2012.

· In the Fall of 2009 we began partnering with “House of Refuge”, a transitional housing facility for men.  There we were asked to serve by fixing meals and interacting with the residents.  Our organization personally prepared and fed over 150 meals.  Even better, we engaged in conversations and began developing relationships.  This is also something we will continue to do in 2012.

  • QE also partnered with The Changing Lives Center, a ministry of the Phoenix Rescue Mission.  It is a residential facility for women and children.  We bought toys, diapers and preschool supplies to help the facility get started.

We must continue to be about the Father’s business in 2012...

“God also helps us spread the knowledge about Christ everywhere, and this knowledge is like the smell of perfume. In fact, God thinks of us as a perfume that brings Christ to everyone. For people who are being saved, this perfume has a sweet smell and leads them to a better life.”

2 Corinthians 2:14-16
